Volume 14 Issue 4 Daybook Now Online

Volume 14 Issue 4 of The Daybook, the museum's quarterly journal of local naval history and events, is now online.  Print copies can gotten by becoming a member of the Hampton Roads Naval Historical Foundation.

Lone Spad Pilot, NAS Oceana

This is Lieutanant Jim Reid walking the tarmac at N.A.S. Oceana in Virginia Beach, 1963.  Reid was a member of VA-85, a A-1H Skyraider/"Spad," ground attack squadron assigned to the carrier USS Forrestal (CV-59).  Jim is currently a docent at the museum and will be happy to tell you all about the story behind this picture and other stories.
